Not every house has space available for a playroom, but if our future home does, this is the general style I like: casual, modern and bright. I would like a space for art supplies (using our hutch, similar to the one pictured here), books, toys, and a place to read. I also want a gallery wall of the girls’ artwork. My favorite, sustainable idea is to use washi tape so you can change the pictures frequently (I currently do this in Sophie’s room and she is so proud to see her work all over the wall!).
Some of these items I already own (the IKEA bookshelf and desk/hutch), some of them I would make (polka-dot pillow and paper boxes), and some of them are great knock-offs of the original (the “Eames” rocker).
