A Noble Woman

130724_001-1I just found out today that my favorite lady from church passed away yesterday. She was the most remarkable woman. She was classy, smart, funny, and had the remarkable gift of making everyone feel special. She was so accepting of others despite their differences. She was the type of person you always wanted to be nearby because she always had something witty or interesting to say and she was an excellent listener.

I had the opportunity a few months ago of going on walks with her and chatting with her at her home. Not only was she a remarkable woman, but she and I were quite similar in taste and style, and so I loved learning from her. I am so happy I had the chance to know her, even if it was only for a few years. I know she has made a similar impact in the lives of so many. I will really miss you, Jan.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. I know she must have been special because even Eldon mentioned her when he was up here.
