Example of a Grandma

Last weekend we went to my husband’s grandma’s funeral. She lived an amazing 99 years! I helped my mother-in-law with the program and enjoyed these neat old pictures of her.

As I listened at the funeral, I couldn’t help but notice how Grandma Goodwin led a simple, purposeful life. She wasn’t fancy, but she was incredibly thoughtful and loved her family. She truly endured to the end. She had many strong opinions, but usually kept them to herself unless asked. Although I only knew her for a few years, her life and example has taught me that the most important aspects of life are usually the most quiet or unseen, yet they make a profound difference. I hope I can become more like her.
