I met my husband seven years ago today! We were at a college dance, which is ironic because neither one of us like dancing. The story goes that my husband saw me a little ways off standing with a group of girls (my roommates) and noted that I was the shortest of them all. He tapped me on the shoulder, asked me to dance, and we never stopped talking that night. Of all the things we chatted about that night, my favorite story is when we were talking about the piano. He thought it was cool that I played and asked who my favorite composer was. I told him that without question it was Bach, but that I also loved Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words. Little did I know at the time that those were the magic answers. Growing up in a musical family, he also liked Bach and had a special love for Songs Without Words. Eventually he got my phone number and we started dating soon after that. I am so grateful I met and later married such a wonderful man.
Here we are at BYU about a month after we met.
Sweet story! You guys are too cute!!
You forgot the part about how even though you were the roommate who didn’t dance at all, you left the dance with TWO dates lined up, while your roommates on the dance floor had no such luck! Stephanie pheromones, I’m telling you. 😉
True… but I was certainly not excited about the other one. 😉
So glad that Eldon asked you to dance!! It’s been fun having you in the family!! 🙂
Congratulations you two!!
